The previous owner appears to have cut this hose. What is its proper routing and how should I fix this. .

A bit generic from the photo, but if that is the starter motor in the back of the photo, then I'm going with the transmission breather. If so, usually routed under the right side rail of the rear subframe. Hope this helps, Dave |

Yes it's just behind the rear cylinder. I am hoping this won't make it run badly it had been coughing and sputtering as of late. It's a 2008 with a race ecm. Won't idle in hot weather. |

That hose should have no effect on runability, unless it is drooling all over some sensor or connector. |

Yes that's the transmission breathing hose and suppose to route up between the rear header and frame next to the upper bolt of rear shock. It probably melted on the rear header and that's why it's cut off. |

Been there done that. I think I did that when I had to remove my starter. Pulled stuff out of the way then put it back where I thought it went, didn't notice the hose was right on the header. At the time I cut out the burned part and joined the hose with copper tubing. Replaced the hose when I had the engine out, it should run with those wires that have the silver colored loom on them. |
