I've got a project I'm trying to get on the road, about the last thing to do is a belt. I thought an 03 xb9 used the same belt as a tuber but not this one. The "teeth" are closer together, I believe the rear sprocket has 72 or 73 bumps on it. Can somebody atleast tell me what belts fit. Thanks post answers here I don't think my pm works |

The 02/03 xb bikes have a different teeth pitch. Have a look on *bay for 03 buell xb9 belt or give 615Lance a message he has new belts. You also could look for a 04 pulley set 27t front 65t rear. That have the same teeth pitch as the tubers. |

Here I was thinking that there would be a plethora of used belts not being used... having multiple S1s you sure as hell are not going to go through all the work of splitting the bike basically into 3 chunks and not use a new belt! Would tuber pulleys fit? Anybody got a used belt, this thing is going down the road so cheaper the better and I've got a heap of tuber parts to trade |

The 2003 model if not updates can only use the G0500.02A8R belt. There are update kits so you can install the better G0500.1AAH belt, they include all the parts needed to do the swap. |

03 XBs have a unique belt pitch that was only used for that one model year. The 04-up XBS have the same pitch belts as Sportsters and other HD. Front and rear 04-up pulleys will run you about $125 or so on eBay. If you want to get out on the cheap, I have an 03 belt that you can have for $40+shipping. It's in good shape and will get you back on the road. (Message edited by phelan on June 27, 2016) |
