Today was the first pretty day we've had since I got the CityX so I headed up the mountain to play on "The Pig Trail" [Arkansas Highway 23]. You never know what you might find around the corner up here... Since I had left the brush guards and headlight grill on the bike, I wasn't intimidated at all by the obstacle .... Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to continue my ride on such a beautiful day...

The "City" is the first non-tuber that I have looked at and thought, "I might own one of those some day". Sure the grill really serves no real use, and the hand guards are really gimicky, but it is a neat scoot. |

So what your saying is that you didn't like the regular XB9S or the XB12S but you'd buy it for brush guards, translucent body work and a welded on cross bar???I can honestly say I didn't buy it for the color or the look cause I still love the S1 at heart but rather what BUELL has become with the XB's |

C'mon, the City X is just an XB9S with: - brush guards - hand guards - better tires - improved throttle body - XB12 airbox cover - cool colors - fancy airbox top x thingie so what's the big deal? It's still not as shiny as Misato's! |

Welcome back Brad. You suck. Namely because you get to live where I will spend all day riding to just to visit for a few days. The Pigs' Trail rocks as do almost all the roads up there in the Ozarks. |

The headlight grill is mostly cosmetic, but marginally useful. But I am telling all you naysayers, those handguards rock! Based on rides I have already taken, my Ohio riding season has been extended by a month at minimum, probably more. Call 'em goofy or cosmetic if you want, but for roughly $34 in completely passive accessories, and a 15 minute install, my motorcycle became 1/12 more useful to me... you tell me what else you can do to your Buell to make it 8.3% better for under $50. |

You guys are forgetting this is a "City" bike. In city traffic the hand guards are great for nudging pedestrians especially those in wheel chairs or those motorized scooter things. |

In California with the lane splitting I'm thinking the handguards will be nicknamed mirror tappers. |

Couldn't tell you why I like the headlight grill. I bought one as soon as they came out. I guess it's the cool factor. |

The saddle, thanks for remindiating us, has been one of the most touted features of the Cx (improperly named the SX by the geeks at Buell) and serves the urban mission of the bike well from what I am told. This bike stands poised to be one of Buell's biggest hits me thinks. Court |

Neither the lens or grip guards do anything for me. I like the seat tho. given the choice ,I'd still take my xb9S over the sx (but would like the upgrades) |

Guys, you forgot the lighter crank, I'm sure I read that somewhere. I also read a review that says the CityX is the best buike Buell have ever made. I rode the 12S (I wanted that motor). The CityX felt way nicer to me. Maybe I'd have gone for a 12CityX. That would be cool. Or something even BIGGER! |

Nick, I don't know about it being the best, but I do know it is a much better bike than the 03 XB9SL I owned before. Engine smoother. More linear throttle response. Transmission smoother. More comfortable. Perhaps more stable. I'm thinking I opted back in at the right time. |
