i know some people had found some, but i cant remember where or who. im thinking about painting or powder coating some parts on one of my sleds the equivalent of nuke blue.

anyone remember who was matching stuff fairly well, or a paint code for a color that has been used and is close?

K12pilot did a x1 build a year or two ago.
And i must say that the nuclear blue looked
very good to almost better as Original!

I sent K12 the paint for that project. It is Tiger Drylac Blue Dormant MET GL 049/40940. Two part powder coat. $156 shipped for 5LBS. The clear is Tiger Drylac 038/00001 Clear Glossy SM HGL $108 5LBS shipped.

so Kc, that is a powder coat and not paint correct? and you sell powder coating material? how far does something like the 5lbs of that stuff go?

If i can find an actual paint that is similar i may consider going that route just because of the ease of knowing a good painter, but having problems finding reasonably local powder coaters that are worth doing business with...

I purchased directly from Tiger, they have a minimum 5 pound purchase. I completed 2 Buell projects, frame and wheels and had enough to send to K12. He never sent the unused portion back, so I have to assume he used most or all of it. I am not sure if he painted his wheels though...

BTW, yes it is a powder coat.
