Rode a '98 S1w for a little over 10 years. Bestest hooligan bike anyone could ever ride. Sold it and stole a '07 MV Agusta F4 from the mofoco, but the saddle height was way too high, and I hated the clip-ons. Regretted selling the Buell. Recently procured a '14 1190SX,the thing is bad azz. Picked up the TailTidy, bar end mirrors, passenger foot peg bracket eliminators, tips and ECM. None of the parts have been installed yet.

I have one question...Can anybody direct me to definitive source on how to "de-noid" this beast?

Thanks,

Al

1125 is essentially the same procedure.

The solenoid resides inside the airbox on the 1190, left front of the airbox.

Easiest way is to pull the cable off and leave the 'noid.

There's only 2 torx screws and an electrical connector after getting in there to disconnect the cable, why bother leaving it on?

Removing the 'noid creates an error at the ECU. This can be prevented with the special resistor plug of course, but leaving the 'noid eliminates the need of the resistor plug, if you don't happen to have one.

Deutch Part No. DTM06-2S-P006
Ladd Distributing, Kettering, Oh. (800) 223-1236

Or you can get it at any Harley dealer for about 7 .

Guess you missed that he's got a race ecm then. Solenoid not required, does not throw a code.
