Found this after finishing a 4hr road trip one way, out-o-state, was averaging 80-90mph. Local Harley/Buell dealer didnt carry the tire. Had to put on a Dunlop to avoid being stranded. Had 5000mi.

I'm getting around 11,000 km (6,800 miles)front an rear with Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs (2 sets now so consistent) on my XB12R. I got 6,000 km from the original Corsas. So the Michelins are double. The Power 2CTs have a good profile for cornering. I use the tread on the rear all the way to the edge. They are a dual compound. More durable in the middle and stickier on the sides. |

What about Contiforce? Anyone running those? |

I still have the original Pirella Diablo 3's on my 1125r. 9800 miles. I know - I wouldn't believe it either - but that is what I have gotten out of them. I am replacing them this week even though I think there is mileage left in them. Best mileage I have ever gotten out of a sport bike tire. |

I just put on a set of Contiforce Sport Attacks. Only got about 150miles on them so far. I can say that they are crazy sticky. Conti recommends a much higher psi on them then other tires. Even with the higher inflation they still ride smoother / less harsh than the Bridgstone BT20s they replaced.I'll try to keep updates on performance and wear. |

Hmmm. I thought Contiforce and Conti Sport/Road Attack models were different tires. The plain "Contiforce" seems to be a little cheaper than the other two. |

Kalai - You are right I meant to say ContiSport not Contiforce. So far I am loving the super sticky tires. From what I have read these should only last about 3K miles. So I will be putting a new back tire on before the end of summer. |

Alright thanks. Jut ordered the "regular" Contiforce to match my front tire. Probably quite not as sticky as the Contisport but hopefully should last longer. |

I'm up to 1k miles on the sport attacks and they still look brand new. Not even the center has shown any sign of flat spotting yet. We'll see this weekend when I go to homecoming, it'll be all Hwy miles. Hope I'll be able to get 4K out of them. |

I'm just about to replace the rear Scorpion Sync on my TT it's the original & is on the wear bars in the middle, done about 4500, which didn't impress me much. Let you know what the replacement's like as it'll be a Euro mix one rather than a US mix like you get there. Front is still good & looks like it'll run out with the new rear. I'll probably look at something else next time, maybe Michelins, though I used to get dual compound Bridgestone's for the rear of my old FJ1200. They used to wear pretty well in the middle but sticky(ish) on the edges. |

I am getting my Scorpion Sync pulled from my TT tomorrow with 5300 miles and it sounds like Mr_grumpy's tire. Due to reasonable reviews from a co-worker with a Gixxer6 and some on line reviews (on bikes like big Bandits, etc.) I am having a Shinko 009 Raven put on the rear. I am not an aggressive rider. Mostly highway commuter miles, but I do turn a corner or two once in a while. I'll report back when I see how this turns out. |

Just replaced the rear Conti Road Attack after 6500 km. I was hoping for more mileage but the belt was starting to show. The front looks barely worn which is odd because I don't do burnouts or use the rear brake. The tire is amazing sticky and I had no qualms at all about replacing it with the same. There were no chicken strips on the left and about 1/4" on the right. |

I've never been able to get much more than 5,000 miles from any rear tire, and I've always run the "sport touring" models. Worst tire mileage I ever got was with a set of Metzelers that were already into the wear bars after just 150 miles. |

The Shinko on the rear is doing the best of any tire I've had thus far. Cheapest too.. |

I just installed the Tomahawk remanufactured rear tire. The tread depth on these tires is impressive. I hope to do much better than the stock Dunlops. |

Best S/T mileage tire so far.. Pirelli Diablo Strada. 11,000 km rear and 20,000 km front on a 2005 FZ1. That's almost twice as far as the original BT 021's lasted. Waiting to see how the same OE tires last on the 09 XT. So far up to 8,600 km and lots of life left but unlikely I'll get the same mileage on the Buell since I ride it much harder than the FZ1. |

Steel belts showing on rear tire after just 4,500 miles (original OEM Diablo T). Will be replacing with Diablo Strada and see how that goes. I should be getting the new tire delivered to work tomorrow. I took the old tire off the rim this afternoon and I'll spoon the new one on during my lunch break on Monday. If all goes well, I should be back up and running on Tuesday. I have been been through 4 sets of the conti road attacks on my 12R and have been getting about 8-9K out of them. Good and sticky even in 33 deg and heavy rain. Slightly cheeper than the pilot road dual compounds. (In most cases.) I haven't had any problems with them at all. |

'09 CityX with 8200 mi. on the original Scorpion Syncs. The back is worn out, plugged and has a new little nail in it. The front is just about to the wear bars. The wife's '09 Blast is at 6200 and the front is still ok. The rear is at 2800 mi and I may get another 700 out of it to match the original rear. I guess I am happy enough with the way the stock tires perform that I am willing to stay with them. AMT can send the 3 tires for @ $300.00 and a friend can mount and balance them for me. |

my conti road attacks are history at 6600 miles (03 xb9s). i haven't decided what to try next, but definitely haven't ruled out another set of road attacks. i have really liked them. the rear is gone, and the front isn't far behind. |

well, i found a deal on michelin pilot power ct2 s, so i will give them a try. i actually ride with a guy that has a set and loves them, so i think they will be alright. i just don't know about the mileage. the folks at the shops don't seem to think they will last very long. BUT! none of them could believe i put 6600 on the contis, either, so maybe i will be alright! |

Diablo Strada Rear (180/55-17) replaced at 6,427 miles. Was down to the wear bars. Was a great tire for the street and one track day. Mileage was much better than the Diablo T that was showing steel at 4,500 miles. I have now replaced the Diablo Strada with an Angel ST and will report back when that one wears out. |

09 XT, replaced rear OE Strada at 11,000 km with 3/32 left. OE front Strada still looks ok with current mileage at about 13,500 km. |

I'm using Conti Force on the Useless, 36 PSI cold and mostly solo, and was down to the wear bar on the rear at 11,0000 miles. I might have squeaked another 500-1000 miles out of it but we're getting a lot of rain lately so off it came. |

On my 2010 XB12XT the OEM Pirelli Angles I went 6,500 on the rear and 9,500 on the front. Probably should have replaced the rear at 6k and I had to get to a dealer while on a trip (Redwood HD in Eureka, CA saved my butt). I liked the Angels, thought they really handled well. I replaced them with Bridgestone BT-023 because I was looking for a little better mileage and the Angels, with solid center tread, made it very difficult to determine how much life was actually left in the tire (hence the emergency trip to Redwood). The rear BT-023 went 5,700 (replaced with another) and the front is still good at 7,000 miles so I expect to replace them both in another 5,000. Probably a little less than the Angels would have run. The BT-023's were outstanding handling tires but, since I mount and balance my own, real pains to mount. The Angels were really easy to dismount so I assume they would be easy to mount. I'll probably try Michelin PR3's next, if they don't last longer or if they're really hard to install I'll go back to the Angels. (Message edited by azdaniel on June 08, 2012) |

Bridgestone BT023 7541 miles rear tire didn't last as long as I thought it should have good handling tire. Michelin Pilot road 3CT 10,708 miles rear tire. Longest lasting sport touring radial tire I have ever used. The tire was not wore out as far as I usually run them, would have easily ran 11,000 miles. A superior tire. I am going to run another Conti Motion because they are cheap and the front Michelin may be wore out by then...Maybe |

Running Metzeler Z8 and got easily over 10,000km (METRIC FTW), dual compound with awesome grip on the edges , lots of riding to work and launching from the front at traffic light, plus i love to spin the read under braking very impressed with the mileage, all done in around 6 months of riding with many long trips and fast blast over my favourite twistys stretch, (in 170km or road easily 80% corners, and once you hit the hill it dont stop till you turn round and come home) |

Michelin Pilot Road 2: two front tires, three rear tires Total miles: 32,067. 1st front replaced at 14,629 miles (can't remember if it was down to the wear bars) 2nd front replaced at 17,438 miles (was into the wear bars) 1st rear replaced at 10,726 miles (into the wear bars) 2nd rear replaced at 12,471 miles (into the wear bars) 3rd rear replaced at 8,870 miles - had some tread left, but was getting close and front needed replacing I'm now on a brand new set of Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart 2. Don't get me wrong - the Michelins are downright superb. However, I've heard the Dunlops are also excellent, they're American made, and for the first time in my tire-shopping life, they were cheaper than the Michelins. |

Conti Motion rear 7974 miles about what is expected. Dunlop Roadsmart II 12,752 miles this is now the longest lived rear sport tire. Michalen 3ct front 20,960 miles expensive but a superb tire. Shinko FO16 front 10,211 miles removed because it has had a slow leak for months about 5 lbs a day. Hands down the best working tire ever on the bike. At this time I am putting on a set of Shinko 016 Verg 2X. |
