Hey guys, I am going to be building another fiberglass seat cowl for my X1 and i want to paint it to match my tank. In the past i have gotten it "close enough" with airbrushes and aerosols. But this time i would really like to nail it. I believe the color is called blue streak metallic, please correct me if i am wrong. I cannot find the original color anywhere in a aerosol. But i have stumbled across something. Toyota also has a paint color called Blue Streak Metallic and it looks pretty darn close. What are your thoughts on this? Is there anyone with a toyota of this color that can chime in possibly? Also if there is a place that i can find the original paint then please let me know. thank you. |

Not from Buell or HD. Some paint shops can mix the color and put in a aerosol can for you. |

most automotive paint shops these days can mix to any paint code and then put it in an aerosol can. Thats usually what i do every time i repaint my bike. No need to dirty my HVLP gun. I then follow up over the base with 2 part urethane. http://www.spraymax.com/index.php?id=361&L=1 |
