In april or may the ACC fuse would blow when I moved the steer back and forth. This was fixed under warranty. All was well until this morning. I was on my way to my cousin Bart when all of a sudden all dials go out ... AGAIN! Bart's an electrician so I told him about it and sure enough 30 minutes later it's fixed. I love this guy! I pull the front fairing off of the bike and he goes "there it is!". I thought he was joking but he wasn't! I looked and attached to the back of the headlights is this white plug with an orange wire that was rubbing against the horn. I pulled the plug and found 2 spots the wire was rubbed through, and at one spot it was oxidated. I guess the last time the dealer didn't fix anything and just got lucky putting it back together so it wasn't shorting against the horn anymore. Yesterday when I pulled everything apart to check static timing, I put it back together and it was touching the horn again. Bart was so kind to but a new wire in there and harnass it along with some other wires. He won't be reading this but nevertheless: THANX BART!! |
