That is good to know. My 2013/11/08 starter died, it has been holding up fine since rebuilding it but I've been avoiding rain and washing. I need to get off my ass and actually replace it. | ||

Can these numbers be read without parts removal on an SX? If not, what parts need to be removed? TIA, Al | ||

...man, how did I miss that! Thanks Hugh! Greest_lightnin, didn't take anything special. Metric & torx heads if I recall to remove the right side radiator fan shroud box. We were trying to check the sticker on an 1190SX starter at BITA 6 yesterday. You can see part of it looking past the header but I couldn't see the complete date. It may be possible to read the date using a small inspection mirror. That'd save you the effort of starting disassembly just to check the date if you've already got the updated starter. |
