I messaged EBR on Facebook asking when I could expect to get my rotor done on my CR. EBR answered back that they may be back before the end of the year! |

You can also ship your rotor to Twin Motorcycles and have the oil hole work done. A little less than $65 to ship using a flat rate box with USPS and then $331 for the work if you go through 5-0dro |

Interesting news. Years ago, I joked that the only way I'd be able to put an EBR bike in my garage was if there was another fire sale. Lo and behold.. thing is, I love my 1125R so much that I can't bring myself to spent double (or more, given current market values) what it's worth to buy a bike that I may not even like any better. IMO, the R with a few modest tweaks, is just about perfect, and I fear that the RX would compromise comfort for raciness to a degree that would be beyond acceptable. I did talk my wife into a $9K budget for an RX but the ones I found ended up being bid slightly higher than my max. I figured, at that price, if it wasn't my thing, I wouldn't take too much of a bath parting ways. In short, I hope the Buell phoenix rises from the ashes again. Come whatever may. It didn't. Egronomics feel about the same, but the 1190 stock seat is more comfortable than the stock 1125 seat. If you stretch your budget another grand you can get a brand new RX from Riders Hill |

...... That one nice little bump that my tooshie hits and all those nice little turns on my way to work. The 1190RX handles better than my 1125. Damn you winter |

I took me a couple weeks to get used to my RX after switching from a CR. It was not an easy transition but I wouldn't go back. The RX is a little hard on the wrists. |

what was the difficulty in the transition Terrys1980? Body position? |

Definitely body position as a whole. I could sit up and still reach the controls on the CR, that isn't happening on the RX. Everything is slightly different. The kickstand is tucked in more, the throttle control, the way it turns in and the steering stabilizer. And like I said about the wrist, if you are leaning too much on the handlebars and putting pressure on the wrists then hitting turn signals are a little difficult. The hand cramps from the throttle were twice as bad with the RX but if you ride a lot that shouldn't be an issue. The bike needs more throttle input when letting go of the clutch. I could let go of the clutch on my CR with no throttle and it would not die unless I just dumped the clutch. The RX dies a lot even after IDS ECM change. There is slack in the throttle cable(as least on mine) it needs to be addressed soon. This is partially responsible for accidentally killing the bike. As far as comfortability, the thinner seat is great and doesn't wear you out like the old padded seats. We got new pilot seats at work that went from big thick pads to the high density thin pad and they are awesome too. And for those who say you don't slide forward, if you are short like 5'6"-5'7" you will be on the airbox cover a lot. I need to get some grip pads for the frame. 1190 is more of a tuck and hold your position at higher speeds, there's a certain posture that allows proper airflow over body and it's a tight one, not loose like on the 1125R. That was the only thing I missed when I got my 1190 is the windscreen covers a lot more area. I practically took a pebble shower on the highway from cars kicking that crap into the air. Never felt it on my 1125R. |
