Recently bought the bike as a non-runner, pulled the stator and it was burnt, swapped it over with the one from the spare engine and it came to live. At the same time i also dropped the oil and strainer and found some plastic bits in there. Bike is built nov 08 but i assume the recall dates were bit lax? Whats involved in changing these? How many is there, are they the same part # for both cylinders? Only diagram i found was off twin motorcycles http://www.twinmotorcycles.com/webshop/parts.asp?j aar=2009&model=AC6EF6AB-1FED-45F8-B607-766424BA862 1&sid=FDB0115D-44C5-49C2-8D63-4DC733E79432 Ive got a spare engine(busted engine mount) which i could pull down and and have ordered a sevice manual which is on its way. Rang a bike mechanic and got told 2 days in labour. Thanks, Sam (Message edited by muli on November 06, 2015) (Message edited by muli on November 06, 2015) |

One set per side.. Pull the valve covers and the side covers for the motor(stator and clutch). Its like doing a valve service.. Your going to want to find a cam locking tool if possible |
