Ok... So... I have a stock carb. I have adjusted float to spec, I have replaced float needle, diaphragm has been replaced. The bike runs great, when I turn the bike off with peacock in the in position it leaks fuel from overflow. I have become quite proficient at removing and installing the carb. Is it possible that the diaphragm is upside down and that is why the fuel overflows?? Is it possible that the float needle won't seat because of wear?? Can anyone point me in the right direction??

Leaks where?

You should be able to test the float and needle before mounting carb back on the bike.

The needle works with the seat to seal, so the problem might still be in the carb body.

On old dirt bikes and old UJM's with old carbs, it seems like this sort of thing is a constant battle that comes and goes. Some times I win, sometimes I just resolve to shut off the petcock, sometimes the garage smells like gas.
