That is a good year, nothing you really will be able to spot without tearing into it. There was a bad batch of fuel pumps on 09s, they can blow if the fuel level is low and it is hot out. See if they upgraded to the 2010 rear wheel (will have extra bearing dust seals and look a little different than your CR rear wheel). Also the seat can rub the ECM damaging that, but that is no big deal to replace/relocate if needed. |

Just curious. How much, on average, is a decent 2009-2010 in the US? |

^ 2010's are pretty rare. 2009's seem to go around $5000-$6000 US, depending on mileage and accessories. |

The most easy way of seeing if the rear has been upgraded is to look at the axle. The new bearings, wheels come with a new axle which is black. Silver axles are original. |

my 09XT has been in the classifieds ($4900w/warranty)for awhile and not a single query.. for that price you can upgrade to the 2010 wheel and still be below book value. I'd say values have totally tanked, it's worse than resale of a Guzzi FCS! and this ain't your uncles Guzzi, Buell is an AWESOME machine! so I keep her and only get to ride occasionally and that's OK. |

To get a bike with the suspension, bags, handling of a ULY for under 6 or even 7 grand is pretty darned good. Most folks that have never experienced what good handling is are usually satisfied with cruisers and that is because they like that look and don't know any better. Once you ride a bike that handles and doesn't wallow through the turns then it is hard to then be satisfied with with cruiser mediocrity. Bikes like the ULY are safer to ride. I love motorcycles but will never again purchase a bike that doesn't handle and has been compromised for "looks" over function. My next purchase will probably be an electric motorcycle but I'll have the ULY for distance if the electric bike can't do it. |

If you ask me I was a bit afraid of getting a Buell due to its HD origins. But to my satisfation Ulysses handles not worse (and in certain conditions even better) than japanese nakeds to which I was used to. Reliability is a different story. (Message edited by Hunger on September 26, 2015) |

Not yet, Paul. It's a long story, I've sent you an e-mail. Once I finally get it sorted I'll surely show off on the boards. |

Well the deal fell through. FYI. We have intake seal problems with the Aprilia Caponord and some people have had luck smearing rtv all over the cracked intake seal. |
