Here's the story: Bought my 2000 S3, Demon Blue on black frame w/ PM wheels new at Santa Cruz Harley. I was told it was the first 2000 S3 sold in CA as I bought it from the trailer of bikes they just had at the SoCal Harley dealer show the week prior. According to the VIN it was the 3rd bike produced that year. Some thousands of miles later I laid her down, through a fence and into a tree - the tree won! The worst of it was a bent rear sub-frame, so the bike was salvaged. I bought it from the ins. co. and repaired all the damage (less some minor cosmetics, and the used fairing is Nuclear Blue, not Demon Blue) and subsequently put on many thousands of (s)miles more, totaling 39k. Most recently a couple of 600+ mile day trips. By the end of the last trip, however, I was having issues finding neutral while the engine was running and my left knee was misted with oil from my version of a head breather catch-can implementation. So, rather than spend the rest of my summer (and possibly winter) working on my bike, I decided to get a new bike and ride instead - and make some room in the garage. List of mods are: ForceWinder intake; Buell Race ECM; Ceramic coated Buell Race header; D&D muffler; Bad Boy oil cooler; X1 chin; Shorai battery; Buell billet Crossroads footpegs (F & R); XB12 mirrors; LED turn signals. Beginning of the season had the fork seals, bushings, etc. replaced and added a set of Dunlop Q3's (180 rear) that now have approx 1500 miles. Registration good through Aug, 2016.
Here's the rest of the story: Bought my 2000 S3T, Black Magic on black frame w/ PM wheels, from the original owner with 10k on it (now has 25k). This was so I had something nice to ride while I repaired my original S3. Two years ago I went off-roading (unintentionally) and broke the triple-tree, bent front rim, damaged fairing spider mount bracket, lost right footpeg & clevis mount, cracked front fender & fairing , chin popped in half @ rivets, missing blinkers and some bodywork rash. Forks and handlebars might be bent - not really sure. The ins. co. did NOT salvage the title, however, and is currently non-opped. I originally thought I might repair it too, but that's not going to happen, nor do I feel like parting it out. List of mods are: ForceWinder intake; Buell Race ECM; Full D&D exhaust (has broken muffler mount bracket and rusty header flanges); Bad Boy oil cooler; X1 chin fairing; billet upper motor mount. It came with matching deep hard-bags and liners (I never used them, but they already had some scuffs). It does not have the touring handle-bars. It has a set of Q2's (180 rear) on it with low miles.
Other extras included: Complete stock exhaust w/ low miles; Buell Race Header (damaged); (2) stock ECM's; (2) sets of fairing lowers (1-nuclear blu/1-blk); assorted stock mirrors, blinkers, and footpegs; ECMSpy disc w/ cable; Factory Service Manual; Buell Tank Bra (new); two-piece center stand; New Banke oil filler; new tail light lens; American Sport Bike shock adjust wrenches; American Sport Bike ETS socket; and more... I think $3000 for the whole ball o' wax is a fair if not good deal, but you tell me? I have not listed these elsewhere, and don't really want to. As a long time lurker on this site for all of my Buell tech needs over the last 15 years, I thought it appropriate that they end up with some Bay Area BadWebber. Since this is my first post, I dunno if PM's will work (seem to recall some issues with that). I will check the site ad often, and I can be reached via email: bhenshaw[at]pacbell.net or text: (four one five) five one five - six four five nine Oh, and my new bike is a red Yamaha FJ09! =) |

I'm a little ways away or I would! I'm in Colorado! I'd have to find a shipper to make it work, and sell the Uly to fund it. |

Maybe with my new-found ABS and TC I can keep the latest one out of the weeds... |
