I'm seeing more of these pop up at my dealer Auction. I bid 7k on one the other day, but it went for 10k. 10k didn't meet the reserve the consigning dealer has set though.

Boy, that's a sad site. EBR was just so full of promise. I would love to get one of those but no tengo dinero. |

The one in the crate is my dream bike. I want one with zero miles, not 3 or 4... ... but only if the EBR tie straps are included Very sad, but maybe even better things will come. |

Don't forget the EBR tarp or flag like wrap of the crate. The remaining ones on the market are mostly at the spring special pricing or full list. It will be interesting to see how long they sit. |

>>> I want one with zero miles No such thing . . they get 3 or 4 before they roll out the door of the factory. |

Did 8K meet the seller's reserve? |

I got to prep mine myself - didn't look at the miles before my test ride but there couldn't have been more than 2-2.5. I bought his Blue SX, he still has a red and a white one, but I think he wants to keep the white one himself. He'll do $12,500 on them. (in Bellevue Washington) |

It looks like they didn't meet reserve initially, but the consigning dealer came back and let them sell at ~8k. |

So I double checked - EBR didn't put any miles on the bikes before they were shipped. In fact Kawasaki doesn't either (assembled and prepped several this week) |

Mine showed up at the dealer with 0 miles on the clock. Dealer wouldn't let me take it 0 miles so they road it 2.3 miles as a "test" |

None of the bikes showed up at the dealers with zero miles on them. Every single one of them hit that roll test before they were crated and left EBR. |

That's 100% not true. My bike showed up with 0 miles as did 2 others at my dealer. Whether they were tested on the rolling road or not. I personally saw them test a couple on the rolling road at homecoming but didn't ask if they counted the mileage. I'm not sure of the process or what but maybe they reset the mileage or don't setup the dash all the way. But, hey what do I know? I bought the 2nd one in Indiana and was pumped at putting the first mile on it and had to stand there all angry while the dealer drove it for the first two miles (Message edited by noone1569 on June 28, 2015) (Message edited by noone1569 on June 28, 2015) |

The bikes were rolls tested WITHOUT the speedo so they show zero on the odo. |

That's 100% not true. I wouldn't have typed it if I didn't know it to be entirely true. |

And ..... There may even be a prototype wiring harness and some possible legal action to blame ...... The story, like so many, is quite amazing. |

It's "a small world" story. I'm sitting at my desk at work, check Badweb for EBR news & come across this thread...this is what is currently sitting next to my desk...

What's it doing next to your desk? Is it going up for auction or sale? |

I'm a Sales Mgr at an independent motorcycle dealer/shop in Fla. We picked it up at auction. After looking carefully & matching all the knotholes in the frame, I realized it's the same bike in the pic posted by Xl_cheese in the 1st post. I'm sure after my boss stops drooling over it, it'll be for sale...my post wasn't an attempt to "advertise" it for sale. Just imagine my surprise when I realized I'm sitting within 6 feet of the bike in the picture!... |

Thats cool, I'm guessing it will be listed over 10K. that is an odd coincidence. |

I'm guessing it will, we're just trying to figure out should we leave it in crate or PDI it & ride it. (Not like anybody here wants to ride it). Also looking to see what happens to EBR...It's a weird situation, I'm personally rooting for Erik & the Elves... |

I am as well...I would be in the market for an EBR for the right price.....but I guess it will all depend on the results of the sale. I would really hate to pick one up only to find out that Hero bought them out (those lying, cheating bastards). |

A used bike dealer in Port St Lucie, Fl has one in the crate on Craigslist for $10,999, so you know he bought it for less than that. I wonder, if the company is resurrected, if the warranty will be any good on the bikes bought at auction and sold out of the crates by independent dealers. |

It's at $6400 with 10 bids on ebay. I'd say Bbbob works for florida cycle brokers. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Other-Makes-1190RX-/191648 941040?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2c9f2ac3f0&item=19 1648941040 |

Yea, even if the new owner of EBR picks up the warranties for existing bikes, I think these bikes would at least have to be prepped by a dealer for them to be warranted. Buying one still in the crate would seem to rule that out. Then again, anything's possible. |

The 1190RX on eBay linked above by Oddball did not meet reserve and bidding ended at $8,988.88 .... oh well |
