Have a look at Baker drivetrain. They have conversion kits and I believe a list of the parts. |

Thanks found that list and a good price on it also. I will need a XB rear sprocket though. Any suggestions on gearing? Stock would be 52-23. I really just cruise with the S1 but do love the low end torque. |

go as big as you can, it will add chain clearance due to the extended swing arm(I know it's not really "extended" but in reality it is as the rear axle to pivot is now longer) and clearance get pretty minimal between the bottom of the chain and swingarm mount block. Not a huge issue on a normal tuber with a belt as it just polishes the block a little, but could cause some gouging with a chain. baker's kit did include a guide wheel for the chain if I remember correctly (which you can purchase separately). I ended up with a PBI front and a vortex rear with a DID chain, but can't remember the teeth. 54/24 sticks in my head for some reason, which is pretty close in ratio (.010th off). I was also playing with XB ratios at the time too as I was trying to get my XB out of the high rpm second/low rpm third issue in the keyhole at Mid-Ohio so I could be wrong on that number. You will need an extra set of links for the chain, I think stock at least for DID was 120 and I was about 2 teeth short (day late and a dollar…) Hope that helps. |

that I'm not sure of, it might have been a 24. The sprockets are fairly cheap, 25 bucks or so but that was around 2006. The vortex sprockets weren't too bad either, so there is some opportunity for playing around with sizing and not breaking the bank. buy a couple and return or sell what you don't like/won't fit right. The chain was pretty pricey but only 10 bucks at the time for an extra 10 links... |
