So I have had some noisy startups and shut downs. And problem seems to be getting worse from research I've done guessing this is the Sprag clutch planning on tearing it apart this weekend and finding out for sure what all should I know prior and what specialized tools might I need thank you in advance for any help

Crank locking tool, I want to say 30mm socket, red locktite, green locktite, torque wrench that can doo 300ft pounds. Basically the same as changing a rotor.

or 1 1/4" deep well socket maybe a new gasket for side cover. If it is the sprag they are at least $200 if I remember right. Mine was scared up inner and outer on the gears so I took a dermal with a barrel sander and smooth it it out its been working good for the last 10k miles that saved a lot of $$$ good luck.
