I need the part number for the brake pad retaining pin and cap. I think the pin and cover are the same but want to be sure. There is no specific S1W parts book, it is covered in the 1998 S1 parts book. But to answer your question, YES, the front brake caliper is the same as a 2000 M2, S3, X1. The part number you gave matches the part number in my 1997-1998 S3/S3-T parts book for the Nissin front caliper. An online resource gives an updated (Buell style) part number of H0023.F, which might be easier to order from a dealer (or American Sport Bike?).
