Working on a friends X1. He has a small crack in his oil pump housing so he bought one on ebay from a sportster. I went to swap the guts out tonight and come to find out the housings are different- what the heck pump did he get?

I think it was 2000 and up the tubers got an enlarged scavenge side rotor to prevent it from filling the crank case when revved for longer periods. Is the new part an authentic H-D part or some phoney thing? It came with no guts? |

I think there was a "stealth upgrade" at some point in time, but I forget the details. Major change without part number update or something... Sorry I don't recall more... maybe Buellistic was talking about it? |

the new one is an authentic HD part. He bought just the housing on ebay, no guts as his as a small crack at one of the fittings. the one i took out has the port on the neck in the first picture- |

ok- so what i was just told.. the clean one that my friend just got to put in is a pre-98 pump, and cant use it in the 98+ I was told to order 26204-91A and this would get me the latest and greatest pump with the 2007 upgrade. |
