Hello to fellow Buell brothers, I'm looking for a "street fighter" exhaust for a '97 S-1. I have one on our '99 X-1. Thanks for the help. |

He's looking for an early frame style though, the one in the classifieds is a late style. They do not interchange. You can still get them new from Force if you really want one. Better to go that route as the newer ones are 2-piece rather than 1 piece. Even still, mount a real clamp on the pipe and the front hanger rather than the POS rubber loop Force supplies. Either shaped and welded tabs or a race header shoe and band clamps, something to solid mount the collector to the hanger to take the stress off the header flanges. I broke two exhaust studs on my S2 with the Force pipe. |

Brothers, Very true from Mr. Phelan about the Force pipes, will take his advice and mount the pipes more solidly. Still want the Streetfigher for my '97 S-1 though and thanks for the help from the rest of you. |
