For the 1125R, what model of Buell fuel tank protector pads (or pucks) would fit on our 1125Rs? I believe there was another Buell model frame protectors (rubber or plastic black pads) that would also fit on the 1125R. Anyone know which Buell this was, and do you have the part number for this frame protector pad? Thanks. |

None fit perfectly, but the Ulysses is close. |

Yes it was the Ulysses, which works pretty good despite not being a perfect fit. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17125.html |

Except for cataclysmic dismounts, the radiator pods and their mounting hardware protect the frame very well. I had a 25-30mph loside several years ago. I just ordered the only plastic "broken" part and it's ready for pickup. The Surlyn(a type of nylon) body parts sand out well. Do some 3M wet-dry from 280/400 up to 2000 in the kitchen sink. Deep sink for y'all with a one in the garage. Shine on Z |

Guys, thanks for all the information – OK, it’s the Ulysses frame pucks that are the close and will fit good enough on the 1125R. I presume the frame pucks sold by American Sportbike are also the same part sold by HD/Buell for the Ulysses (?). Is the general consensus of the message board that the 1125R plastic radiator pod covers will protect the frame well enough and the frame pucks are not really needed? Zac – That point you brought up, that the 1125R plastic radiator pod covers will protect the frame…was another question I was actually going to ask in this thread. I hope you are right that they do. From my little bit of experience with tip overs, the more protection the motorcycle has the better. Other than that, I saw your profile and liked the mods you have done to your bikes. I have a question on your mod for the 1125R, “Polished Signature Series RR sliders from Keith at Dark Horse”. What shop is Dark Horse and do you have a link? I am curious about the road race sliders. Thanks Warzecha. John |

The pods are designed to double as a frame protector....more Eric Buell ingenuity. |

Can attest to that: Had a lowside on sharp gravel with just a negligible scratch on the frame. The outer rim of the front fairing also took some as well as the stator insert and the passenger peg. The good pod might have even taken some impact away from my leg. |

John Al bought all Keith's stuff a few years back, so the Darkhorse sliders are an exclusive at American Sport Bike. Looks like Al doesn't carry the Signature series atm, but he may be able to have a set made. I'd give Al & JoAnn(sp?) a call and see, they are both super-helpful folks. Z If Al can't help you try 5-0dro http://www.5-0dro.com (Message edited by zac4mac on April 27, 2015) |

Zac, Thanks for the homepage of 5-0dro. They have a great product line of parts for Buells! They sell a alternator rotor fix kit for 2009-1010 1125R/CR - great to know since EBR is currently not selling replacement parts for 1125s. John |
