Was at Hal's Harley to look at the new Buell 1190's and spotted an 1190RS in the showroom window what a beauty to bad it's so expensive. Asking price 43k plus a little. I was also there to ask about some dyno time for my 1125r and was told that it's down right now for restructuring. There putting a bigger Dynojet so they can do three wheelers. i just laughed. Evidently they sell a lot of them and the owners want to know how much power they make. So I'm going to have to wait awhile unless I go some where else. |

I know where you can get an 1190 RS for a LOT less money, brand new off the showroom floor. |

Yes that's a pretty ridiculous price, they will have that a while I'm thinking. It looks like they haven't sold many of the regular models either, even with prices marked down to 14,990 I believe. They are high volume Harley dealer in Milwaukee, Wi. Not that I could afford it but where. |

So look at an EBR 1190RX. $16k~ish right now I believe, a wee bit more hp than the RS and it's got TC http://www.erikbuellracing.com/motorcycles/ebr1190 rx/ |

I'm not positive but I believe the 2012RS has a current MSRP of $25k. That's still pricey but a lot better than $43k. At that price, the better parts are worth more than the difference in price over an RX. I just got one a month ago for a LOT less than $43k, and I got to remove it from the crate and do the PDI myself including first ride.

Cycle Trader lists 5 2012 1190RS of them, four of which has an identical price of 39,999 and the 5th one is a 2014 price on request. |
