if you already have someone to powdercoat it, that would be the way to go. If not I can strip it, powdercoat, and machined it all at once for you. |

Up above in this thread is a post by Jayvee. That pulley seems to have 2 small grooves cut in, instead of the 1 large, is that possible to do? Thanks |

I've got to do a bunch of other powdercoating, so I'll probably have them to do it at that time and then just send it to you. |

2 smaller grooves can be done, just depends on how small you want to go. id say 1/8 would be the smallest. That sounds good Jeremy |

I just got my pulley back from Marc, and it is excellent, very nice work, and very quick turn around. If you want to have your pulley modified , I'd recommend him highly. Thanks Marc. |

You guys are funny! I had my pulley "modified" almost 12 years ago. Sent it to a guy with a CNC machine to lighten the pulley. I then sent it out for powdercoating. No pictures currently available. |

There's a lot of new kids on the playground these days, you've prolly noticed Lake. I had to take a hiatus from the place for a few months to refresh my attitude, I got tired of answering all the same questions over and over (you know, jetting, suspension, how come my oil res cap blew off and there's oil all over the garage...) Purpony (Marc) has done some really cool work on his bike, the tubular tail is particularly sweet. It's cool going through his mod threads in the archives if you haven't looked at them I highly recommend it. Am I too preachy? I'd like to get a rear pulley cut down, have tried getting it done locally but without any luck - have never been able to get my brother-in-law to get back into the shop and put in some mill time for me. |

John and bugglesi went through this as the new guy about 6 yrs ago. John his humer is about every two years there is an influx of mew buell owners going through all the same steps the OBO (original buell owners) took from the beginning. Everything has been gone over multiple times every few years. If you think about it it is very cool seeing a person get the exact feeling and smile and thoughts in their head that the OBO got first time they road the bike off the floor. Its all good maybe we should gather all the info together and make an area to search? Oops thats been done to! |

I see, got it. As far as getting all the info together, or doing a search. This site is not really too functional for searches. I can do a search here for some info, and find nothing. If I do a google search, I'll often find something that leads back here, yet could not be found through this sites search. Beats me. |

The search tool here takes a certain finesse to actually find what you are looking for. I've often posted links for information when I can recall who was involved in the original thread, or approximately when discussions took place so I can search specific sections for better results. There are some lazy users who always ask first rather than attempt a search or give up easily - that's what I got irritated with. The time requisite for the search on this site's tool can be frustrating to work around, needing to know where to look for a more refined search can also be problematic... which is why I look those up for people, but the very most common problems come up so often I wish we had sticky faq's in easy to locate threads at the top of the page for those people having same sort of problems. Others for popular refinement mods (like pulley lightening, which doesn't seem to have been broadly published in the past), common exhaust options, and basic upgrades would also be beneficial. I've been around this site for 13-14 years, so I kind of needed a rest myself, glad Buells are still the well loved bikes they are. People who stick with them, and this site seem a particular breed. |

Stickys for the basics on Tubers would be a good thing. |

Here's a photo of mine. Like I mentioned earlier, this was done almost 12 years ago. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk39/Lake_Buell er/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-03/95FC1142-1257-48AE-977 C-1233C0689F45.jpg |

Johnod... For the most part. It's a S1W. I had the pulley, motor mount, frame brace, instrument bracket and handlebars powdercoated in white to match the frame. I also had the heads painted with a high temp white paint. I really need to get some updated photos. But this give you an idea of the look... http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk39/Lake_Buell er/Motorcycles/P7040096.jpg |

Very nice. I'm partial to white bikes, have had at least one of my bikes painted white since 88. |
