I beg to differ, my son followed 1000 miles to the last S2 meet on a blast and with the exception of long hiway hills he kept up with me on a M2. The blast handles like a dirt bike and has some thump! Respect to each their own! | ||

And it's the same price as the '91 RS - flip a coin to decide. The Blast did set the record for 500cc top speed in its day, but if you pack all those bags with more than marshmallows you will lose any handling advantage. | ||

Lets be honest, there have been far more questionable mods posted on this board that were deemed "acceptable" than this Dude built a bike for what he wanted it to do and it likely does it well. | ||

I like it...reminds me of a CX-500 Honda Insterstate. In Minneapolis, a big fairing might be a good idea, especially this time of year. I turned my SR500 into a touring bike a bit like this, when I moved to California on it. | ||

Perhaps it's a failing on my part but first I clicked on the Craigslist ad and then seeing Ft_bstrd's picture has me laughing pretty hard. I'm sure the Blast works well enough. So it won't win any beauty contests, what the hell. | ||

Honestly, even the ugliest bike is still a beauty to its owner. I am probably building the ugliest bike ever conceived. It may be roundly panned by everyone. I won't care. Etennuly created the BAW (Big Ass Windshield). It worked perfectly for him. It hit me in the face. We both laughed about it. If I offended anyone with my initial post, I apologize. I meant it in jest. | ||
