I have a weird noise occurring when going over bumps that sounds just like the tire is rubbing on something... the front fender? However, it doesn't happen at all when I hammer on the front brake which is what I would expect. Has anyone else experienced this? |

Is the brake line routed outside the fork tube (so it can't rub against the tire)? Does the sound go away when you brake? Does the sound only happen when you hit a bump? |

I have a cr with the high bar kit. The line is properly routed. Only makes the noise on impact with a bump. No noise of under braking. No obvious interference from inspection. |

steering stem bearings bad? Raise front end so the steering is free. Tap left bar. It should swing to right smoothly. Follow suit on right bar. Listen carefully too. Also grab both tubes and shake. If there is play in the steering from bad bearings you may be able to feel it from these actions. Take the wheel off and place your thumbs inside bearings and roll. It should be smooth not rough. |
