The Pro-Series suspension kits will only fit the '05 XBs and not the '03 and '04s like everyone was told. I already put my rear spring on. The problem is the new forks on the '05s are bigger and that is what they are designed to fit. If anyone knows where I can get a front fork spring kit for my bike I would sure appreciate some info.

I was wondering if that was the case since the fork tubes are bigger on the 05s.
Damn that sucks out loud.
Trojan has some do a search for Hyperpro Progressive Fork Springs at Trojan-Horse Products

I thought I read somewhere that the cityx retains the smaller forks, so I guess it won't work for that?

I'm pretty sure the spec on the new 9 says its supposed to have the
43's but it could have been a misprint.

CX has 43 forks. 12Scg models have 41s, though...

The 41mm forks are the same as the Aprilia RS250. There are 1000s of those being raced here in Aust. and most suspension shops will be able to guide you in the right direction pretty quickly.

Talk to Rich Cronrath.

I was just talking with him about suspension last week and he is knowledgeable is this area. Also they sell suspension parts and rework all the way up to the level of Barnes bike.

The triple trees on the 41 and 43MM measure the same. The forks should be interchangeable.

The Hyperpro spring package includes new fork oil etc and is available at £169 as a front & rear combi kit complete in the UK. It is probably available from Rich at Innovative or we can ship.
The difference over stock has to be tried to be believed....and you get a nice purple spring: )

Dean; the question was just asked on another thread. I'd be hesitant - it would suck if it didn't work and started leaking. But you're right - would make servicing much easier, except that you may leave some of the crud behind because of the relatively small drain hole.

I already put the Buell rear spring on. I really don't want to change that again. Can I just get the front springs?

If they really don't fit, the website is wrong and you should be able to get your money back. Then you can buy a matched set. Innovation does carry Hyperpro BTW.

Called Innovative and he had just the front springs. So I will have a set of Hyperpro front springs on it when all is said and done.

FP, for the design of the cartridge style forks a single drain hole won't be worth it, you would still need to take the forks apart to pump up the pressure in the cartridge properly. No one that makes the cartridge style of forks has a single drain hole that I know of. Not saying there isn't a manufacturer out there that hasn't done it but I myself haven't heard of one and since most shops I have called list "Cartridge Forks off bike 1.75 hours each" in labor...well that tells you that : )
