Were there any "Carbon Fiber Special" bikes from Buell back in the tuber days? |

No. There was a time that my S2 as clad in carbon fiber bodywork. Also, we had a set of carbon fiber body work for my S1. But the sets were experimental and there were never any carbon body sets in production. |

No carbon fiber S1s (though they did sell carbon fiber tails, fenders, and fly screens), but there was a Carbon edition X1, which had a unique blue tint to the carbon. |

There was one! I just had the tail in my hand a couple days ago (never thought of a S1 tail as heavy till I held the carbon fiber one in one hand and a stock in the other one). Though now that I think about it there was no parts tag on it. For the 97 Chicago auto show Buell had a drawing to win a custom painted carbon fibered S1. |

Pictures of that bike were floating around recently. I could be wrong, but was it not just a standard S1 that had custom paint on genuine Buell accessories (the carbon bits)? |

While not a true 'special edition' (where more than one was made in a production run), but definitely a 'special Buell'. Or, yeah, what the guy above said... A trip down memory lane, 1313 (Message edited by 1313 on November 15, 2014) |

>>>>For the 97 Chicago auto show Buell had a drawing to win a custom painted carbon fibered S1. Which resulted in perhaps one of the funniest Buell stories of all time when the winner came to East Trot to collect the bike. Remind me . . . . hell, you know. |

I swear I saw a full carbon S1 in Atlanta. It was owned by the motorclothes manager at Earl Small's HD. Real nice guy, I wish I had a better memory. He also had the most brilliant yelow S2, that I believe someone on this board now owns? |
