I have a 2006 Uly that runs great until warmed up. Then it has a missfire between 1000-3000 rpm. If stuck in traffic this makes for one bucking bronco of a ride. Twist the throttle and no mis bags of power but back to small throttle opening and the miss returns

Intake leak??? Try spraying around it when it is warmed up. Apparently it is not a prob cold.

This sounds more like a marginal head temp sensor or coil. Could also be a intake air temp sensor but those usually throw a code.
A leaking intake seal normally causes erratic/hanging idle.

I have the exact same thing on my 2007 Uly. Just got the bike, so haven't been able to do much troubleshooting yet, but the problem is identical, only present with almost no throttle - below 3000 RPM. Appreciate if you post the solution if you solve it : )

Ok, so I got hold of a ECM cable, got the ECMspy SW, drivers and ports all figured out, hooked up to bike and all is fine. Checked all codes, none present, and none in the history.

Everything looks normal, it starts and idle fine, the only problem is the jerky ride between idle and 3000 RPM (with almost no load/throttle)

Thought I would do a TPS reset as a first attempt. The value before starting was 5,1%. By the book; (at least I think so : ), engine hot, backed out idle screw all the way to 0%, gave it another extra 2 turns out, snapped the throttle shut a few times, and held the throttle shut while click on reset TPS and confirm. Communication bar in ECMspy confirm all ok, reset done. Turned the idle back in to 5,1%, and voilá I thought. Only trouble now is the engine won't start again...?!?!

Did this 4-5 times to make sure I had done it all correct, but it just won't start. Cranks, but won't fire.

Anyone with similar experience or tips ?

One week traveling with no access to bike, but fixed it today.

I figured I had managed to drown the engine last time, so I cleaned the plugs by test the coils 3-4 times from ECMspy, and she fired right back up. Changed the stock filter to K&N, rode it in closed loop for 15-20 min, and everything seems to be working fine. Readjusted idle to 1050-1100 RPM when I came back (was around 1250) and reset the AFV to 100%. (AFV was 108% after the ride)

Another bike to ride now, all stuttering below 3000 RPM is completely gone. Smooth as silk !

No doubt the TPS reset did the trick : )

Hello Pagprivat!

I am experiencing the exact same problem on my 2008 Uly. The only problem is that I reset the TPS right after it the bike is great! Very smooth. But than I ride like 30km and it gets bad again. Than I go again, reset the TPS, bike runs smooth, 30km after and it's bad again.
How's your bike behaving after TPS reset? Just one reset and it's good for good? : )

Had the same very frustrating issue happening over a 3k mile time span with my 08 XB12SCGR along with a droopping AFV issue and a periodic IAT SENSOR TC light indicating high voltage. All started at 22.5K miles.

I finally broke down and got an EBR RACE ECM specifically tuned to my 1st Gen Drummer. Since doing the change from the stock ECM, the bike has run flawlessly across the board with absolutely no issues and has done so for the past 3200 miles.
