The S2 is finished! well almost...I'm still trying to either find a tank cover in Black Saphire or match the paint to the rest of the set I have, just missing a fender and tank cover in Black Saphire, could run a CF front fender so really only need a Black Saphire tank cover... It has a full set of Toyota Racing Blue I bought from Gowindward..its really growing on me.... This was completely covered in another write up but a few key points New motor from 98 S3T, with supertrap megaphone exhaust (both header and muffler ceramic coated) Donated the PM wheels to the red 96 S1 I just finished and tracked down these white 3 spoke and had them re powder-coated in white for new finish New side plates (huge design project!) for newer style kickstand to fix the lean AND the real problem of the kickstand not going past center to lock it in place S3 bag conversion rack

The S2 looks great in that colour, I'd be tempted to stick with that. Nice bikes all. |

Chris, that's actually a Toyota Racing Blue . That particular set of bodywork was owned by Art Bartlett (Bartimus) years ago, who had the set painted up in that color. Then he sold it to Loren Mock (Gowindward) in I believe 2010. I was considering buying the set at that time too, but the shipping costs would have put it out of my price range anyway. Then Loren sold the Set to David (Jolly) a while back. (Message edited by Phelan on November 05, 2014) |

Thanks for the compliments!! It's really been a busy project season!...between finishing bikes and custom parts... Yeah that Toyota Racing Blue is definitely growing on me... of course with all bikes done, my mind is already wandering to the next project. I tried to buy a red S2 from one of the members here but I simply could not swing the shipping cost, he was very understanding, so we had to part without closing the deal, even though I really wanted it, we just could not close the deal. so, next spring...hmmmm...another project??? Yeah I definitely need a better "sponsor" to keep me out of these rabbit holes...... but I do enjoy the garage time!! |

SPONSORS DON'T WORK!!! Toyota color...on a US bike??? Thats the same as my brother painting his 70 GTO (mine now) a CHEVROLET COLOR ((( Just kidding, BOTH colors look great, I just tell peeps it is a Kenworth truck color, VERY CLOSE )) Shhhh (Message edited by k12pilot on November 05, 2014) |
