I traded off my GS for this beast, and honestly have no use for it. My electra glide is more comfortable, and my x1 is better for the mountains.... This would be an EXCELLENT power touring bike for someone. It is smooth and super quiet, and the cruise is awesome. 16k miles and climbing, all stock. Mechanically, this bike is a 10. It runs perfectly, smoothly, and quietly. The ABS and cruise are flawless. There are a few cosmetic blemishes on the fairings from gravel incident (right), and driveway incident (left). From the original owner. Service just performed at 16k this week: 1.Valves checked 2.Oil changed with AMSOIL 20W-50. 3.Transmission and differential changed with Valvoline Synthetic 75w-90 4.ABS pump, calipers, and reservoirs flushed with DOT4 5.Clutch fluid flushed with DOT4 6.Kickstand and centerstand lubed with Honda MOLY 60. It's super quiet, and one of the fastest things with luggage I've ever rode. It handles like a sport bike on the curves, and the ergonomics allow for long trips. The windshield is manually adjustable, and the footpegs can be brought up for a more aggressive stance. The clip on's are also fully adjustable to suit the rider. The luggage is stock, and keyed to the ignition. Trades considered: Buell or????? surprise me. Willing to trade down. New Conti tires, Spiegler line kit (all 6 pieces) installed. Well, it will be flushed tomorrow and ready for inspection. 4k firm. Not really looking for trades, as I have commited to buying my old 1125R. Now I just need to get the cash together to pick her up at vintage fest! Sold!!!! Traded for my 1125r. Crazy story: looking on craigslist, found my old bike with only 2k more miles than before. We worked out a trade, and planned the ride. My uncle drive up from Tampa to Brookhaven, MS. I came down from Birmingham. I Rode the BMW 330 miles to get it, then 750 on the Buell, earned those miles the long way home. All in 29 hours. My uncle did 1503 miles in 36 hours 2 days later she is waxed, buffed, and tearing up the curves! I don't care if I'm still sore, I'm gonna ride! So happy to have a garage dominated by Buells again! |
