Have you changed to the race ecm and a different breather?

If you have then your going to want to re-jet.

The stock motors were like they were suffering from asthma and changing to a slip on, free flow air breather and race ecm was like a shot of medication.

I'd say if you never changed anything else you will be OK.

You have an M2. Change the jets. You and the bike will be happier.

And relax, this is supposed to be fun. ; )

Click here and look at the very top of the section where you'll find jetting suggestions. That and your service and parts manuals will serve you well.

Newf,
An M2 Cyclone does not have an "ECM" and only the slow/pilot jet need be changed. The high speed jet is already a bit fat. A race ignition control module or "ICM" only alters the spark advance curve a bit, not a big factor in jetting versus the stock module. My 100 rwhp 1250cc Cyclone runs a smaller than stock main jet, a 180 versus a 190.

The one thing to do is to upsize the pilot jet from its stock size 42 to a size 45 while also adjusting the idle mixture.

Christian,
There is a lot of info on this in the Knowledge Vault. Please take advantage of that. : )
