Some person named "John" I believe was corresponding with the owner (Marc) to pick up on the 1st of August. No word back from him now, so I guess it's back on the market. I think he was offering $6500. Marc has the title now, just needs to mail it too me once someone is ready to buy. Marc is a friend of a local I had did work on several of his vehicles. Marc (in So. Cal) trailer-ed and dropped off the Buell and a HD FXR for me to get running. Thus why the Buell is here (northern Nevada) Feel free to contact me or I can furnish Marc's contact info Thank you Matt |

Actually, it was $6400, and that was me. And you should KNOW it was $6400 since you were CC'd on the e-mail as you were on the e-mail discussing driving up to get it this I have seen pictures of the title and it is now clean - That was the roadblock. I was going to go on this Thursday to get this (pickup on Friday), per e-mail communication with Marc that you were also CC'd on. But, you know what --- never mind. Someone else buy it instead. Screw this noise. I retract any interest in this bike and the crew trying to sell it. |

Pretty strange . . . .I've owned several RS/RSS's . . . . all of which were bought new . . but I've never seen a deal in 30+ years of Buell that had "stink"plastered on it like this one. It's got the making of a pimp and a hooker working a corner in Harlem . . . The asking price (about $1,500 high) would scare me a bit . . the folks involved would send me running . . . I guess, at least, I wouldn't be alone. |

Why would the title not be waiting with the bike? |

What a shame (( Bimmer/Mark & whoever is involved on your end, your Douchebags!! At this point I would pull the plug also, one only knows... But after visiting DMV on Friday & spoke to a supervisor who rides. I asked her about the X1 & if I would be able to title it (since there was not one available) WAY EASIER THAN I WOULD EVER EXPECT!!! 8-12 week wait. No titles are not a concern for me anymore, unless there are other concerns regarding unscrupulous sellers. So I drove & picked up the X1 yesterday for $750. with no title. I say let the Badwebbers boycot this bike & let it rot in the sun, as hard as it may be to do!! $6400..... I offered $5-5500. Would have cost $759 to ship it here. I told John that. Sorry John...} |

Actually, I hope someone here gets it, at a fair price with little drama. It really should be in the hands of an enthusiast. It wouldn't hurt my feelings, that's for sure. If anyone DOES buy it - I have the correct "5" point cover and a set of tank decals for it. The video claims that it needs the choke pulled to run - so it has an intake leak more than likely. Understandable given the age. On the video it is claimed that "Maybe that is because of the altitude..." Things go richer, not leaner, at altitude...so that speculation is not accurate Note that a petcock style shutoff valve was grafted on, rather than correcting the fuel shutoff solenoids. Obviously, the petcock would be completely unusable as a reserve, so the potential buyer needs to plan on correcting that. Parts for that system are supposed to be easy to get. Those were my initial observations from watching the videos. GLWS |

Please pull this listing from this forum. No one deserves this kind of disrespect. This isn't even my bike and I have spent my own time and money trying to help him sell it. And I have to deal with a bunch of children. No thanks. |

In 1992 I bought a 91 Ducati 907 from a guy outside of Reno. I brought it home and called Roseville DMV and asked about registration. They told me that since the mileage was less than 7500 miles I could not register a 49 state bike in CA. I called DMV in Rocklin and asked if there was a mileage limit to register an out of state used motorcycle and she said no. I said I will be there in a few minutes. She even had me stick my nose where she wouldn't and read the VIN to her. Don't give up. If you can't get the door open try the window. |

A nicer machine, I don't like black on any vehicle, unless it is a limo I am in the back of but she is a beauty )) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buell-Other-1992-buell-rs- 1200-/261549323003?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3ce58d f2fb&item=261549323003&pt=US_motorcycles |

Great pics! I spoke with the two Hero guys while they were at Mid Ohio. Nice, friendly and unassuming guys, I enjoyed chatting with them. |
