I rode home in the rain a few weeks back. It started running really bad almost stalling out a few times. Today I rode to work and it was still not running right. Had a bad miss around 4000rpm. Then the check engine light came on. Then the gauges stopped working and the lights were very dim. I got it to work, shut it off and it would not restart. The battery didn't have enough power to turn it over. Do you guys have any idea what's wrong?

Check your grounds. Especially the negative on the battery. Likes to come loose if not tightened up right. Otherwise you will need to check the ground points to ensure they are tight as well.

Oh, also, just because you will be in there. Bring a multimeter and check the battery voltage. Should be right around ~12.8VDC.

If battery terminals are not loose: charge the battery and having it load tested.

Then do, the rest of what Cataract2 says.
