Interesting- EBR calls it the "2014 1190SX" on their website. Which is it: a 2014 or 2015 model? BTW- here's the official press release from their website: http://erikbuellracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/EBRIntroduces1190SX.pdf (Message edited by Hughlysses on July 04, 2014) |

Thanks, Court. I did re-read it, and a search based on that led to this very interesting document: http://c.ymcdn.com/sites/www.weda.org/resource/res mgr/gov_pp/ebr_marketing_us_expertise_t.pdf |

I do like the look of this bike. EBR did a great job with this. Can't wait to see how it stacks up with its competition. |

^ AND the diesel scooter can double as a portable/emergency generator. How cool would that be? (Message edited by Hughlysses on July 07, 2014) |

That scooter also has plow and harvester attachments available, too. Maximum utility - makes this otherwise ugly ducking beautiful. |

Needs a V plow and chains for winter riding. |

Offering engineering services will reciprocate certain kickbacks? Single and triple cylinder engines? A parallel twin? All exciting thoughts! I wish WI were warmer, and that I had my degree.... A man can dream |

I love that scooter backup generator thing. I would think it would be great to use every day to commute too. Imagine how much camping gear that little thing could carry and then think you could be camped out with electricity too! |

Definitely a beautiful bike! The more I look at it the more I see the resemblance to the XB models...frame, swingarm, perimeter front brake, forks, etc.. Can't wait to see what the AX model looks like! |

Anybody find a spec sheet on that diesel bike? Is it a full sized bike or small? Wheel size? |

Craig- you can find more photos and limited specifications, but nothing like full specs. |

Judging from this photo, it's a full-sized bike:

Hugh, Thanks for the article. I saw others but it was hard to get an idea how large the bike is except for that photo above. The turbo charger would probably be necessary because 150cc seems kind of anemic. Maybe for the U.S. market it could be up-sized to at least a turbo 500cc diesel. |

First, His shoe is untied. Second, How tall is he, or what size is that tire? Third, I thought it was supposed to be 2WD? 150cc diesel may or may not let you cruise 75mph. It would be great for 2 lane travel though. My TW only has 200 cc gasoline. Could make a better guess if you knew the wattage rating on the generator. I want a kick or pull starter on it for emergencies. |

I put the OEM mirrors from my Uly up for sale on eBay when I got the Tuono mirrors. I see where they went now...on to the Hero diesel pizza delivery bike. Wait, if I'm in Panama, its a Subway delivery bike, in Mexico City and/or Bogota its a KFC delivery bike. In Abu Dhabi, Its either Subway or Pizza Hut and in Dubai its Haagen Dazs. In Mumbai, it would make a heckuva monoposto for dabbawallahs delivering tiffins. |

There are a few diésel bikes on the market, i think the first was a Royal Enfield Taurus, i remember that there was also a Kawasaki for the army that was diésel powered, a dutch bike also 800cc turbo charged and some others i cant remember |
