Just how cool and effortless these 12x's can be. I recently purchased a 2009 XP from a fellow badwebber and I have to give credit where it's due. The Uly is tight and runs like a brand new bike. I have had 2 12x's that were 06's, 1 12xt that was an 09 and now this 12xp that is an 09'. The 12xp is by far the best of the bunch. Smooth at 70-80mph, gobs of grin factor off the line and again... the bike is so tight, just like a new bike. Thanks Josh, I'm a happy Uly owner again. |

I like the rumble of the sporty based engine, what can I say. I will look at the AX though. The current XP is so nice I don't want to use it up. |

Micah, "Our" XT is running fine. Every time I get on it, I love that bike just a little bit more. Congratulations on getting another '12. z (Message edited by Zane on June 27, 2014) |

Thank you Zane! The XP is ~WoW~ for sure! That XT sure did a number on my confidence in the Uly. I'm glad to know after the dealer got the XT fixed up, you haven't had any issues with it. |

Only issue I had was a bad ECM. The dealer in Bay City, Michigan thought at first it was only fouled plugs. When that didn't fix it they rebuild the fuel system. when that didn't do it they installed a new ECM. Been running like a Swiss watch ever since. I have about 21K miles on it now. Before it got real hot I even did a Phoenix to Kingman ride (two up). Got 52.6 MPG on top of everything else. Great scenery on that run. When it cools down in a couple of months I have a couple of rides I want to make. Sedona, Payson, Show Low. Looking to do some over night rides. I'm not thinking twice about doing them on the XT. I'm thinking hard about a Victory Cross Country with the tour pack but won't trade the Uly in when and if I get one. The XT will stay my daily rider for years to come. I would love to Vern, but I will be in NY City for business that week and from there I will be traveling to China and India. I won't be back in the states until the tail end of August. |

Hey Slowride, I just wanted to say Hi! I met you last summer on my way to Sturgis when I made a stop at the Corn Palace in Mitchell SD. It was really cool to meet up with someone who had actually heard of a Buell! Enjoy your new bike!

Did you take any pictures on 'Dave Dispane' night when we were sitting around the fire at TWO? I don't seem to have any. I have pictures somewhere of riding on our way out of Suches up Blood Mountain where you crushed your GW bottom faring panels and of stopping at the top of the Cherohala in the rain with Froggy and Ratbuell. That was a great ride. |

Vern, I don't think I have any pics of the night Dave Dispane talked a whole lot of shit to me, lol. You should dig those ride pics out. I'd like to see some of them. It was a fun ride. I wished I had the same suspension Yellow Wolf had on his GW when we were pushing through those twisties. (Message edited by slowride on June 28, 2014) |

Thank you Blake! It's been a long time since we met at "up in smoke". I still have the pics from that night. |

I don't know how I missed this thread for so long, but I saw it today. Actually I saw Slowride's name. Welcome back. And no, I don't have any pictures of Dave either. I figured he was out there to get away from everybody and everything so I didn't want to bother the man, unlike the drunken spy. Loved the rides chasing the GW. At that pace I could enjoy the scenery! |

Tootal, Good to hear from you too! I know at least twice I had the Goldwing over 45mph on the straights. I'm surprised you could see anything at that speed in the mountains. Why do you think my handle is Slowride... |
