Time to remove my Crossroads bars from my S1, anybody have dimensions of the factory bars, or suggestions maybe pics of their standard preferred bars. |

I think they're the same as X1 bars. You may still be able to order them. |

Yes James, and not riding it enough has weakened me! I did see St. Paul still has them in stock, just wondering if anybody else out there has any other preferences. |

Considering the same change myself, I don't do enough track time or aggressive canyon riding to keep the Crossroads - another Bueller born in '73. |

Wimps!!! I'm 46 y/o and can't stand the S1W with the stock bars. But I did need to remove the Pro Series rear sets. |

I have a set of 1996 S1 OEM bars that have been in the garage since 1997! I'm a big guy born 53 and wouldn't ride that S1 without drag bars or crossroads. I have a set of crossroads X1 bars that I found on Craigslist a while back. The set up is almost what a drag bar is, too close to bother. The Superbike bars (1" rise) were on the bike for about a week before the drag bars. They are all collecting dust. Any takers? |

KLR bars for old backs and wrists! Try em before you laugh. Works great for me. |

Original S1 bars are different from any other Buell. Besides being slightly lower, they have less pull back. S1W bars are the same as S3 bars and 99 and up M2s and will clear a manta tank (a little higher and a little more pull back). If you have a small tank S1 the 97/98 M2 bar is a nice compromise (slightly less aggressive than the S1 but a bit more than the S3). I have the early M2 bars on my S1 and find them a bit more comfortable for longer rides. Of course, the S3T bar will raise you up even higher. |
