Hi, I have a 2001 Buell Blast I recently got and having problems with it not wanting to start when it is cold (ambient temp, like 70 F right now) I have taken the carb apart and cleaned it all out, replaced the boot. Good spark but the only way I can get it to fire up when it is cold is to put my finger over the slow speed circuit air inlet. It is still a pretty rough idle and until it gets warm does not want to stay running and backfires through the carb when I take my finger off that hole, which kind of makes you jump when the flames lick your hand! The auto choke vacuum piston is in good condition and functions when you open up the throttle. Could this be an issue with the auto enrichener? I'm at a loss for ideas so any would be good at the moment. |
