Author Message   Airbozo Posted on Friday, February 14, 2014 - 05:39 pm:        I am trying to find out the length of the 2004 Firebolt forks. I know there are short ones as well. I have a chance to purchase a 2004 Firebolt, but it has the short forks and short rear shock. The rear shock can be replaced easy, but not the front forks. I am in the process of rebuilding my 95 XL1200 and had planned on replacing the front end, so I have the budget for the front end replacement. I am wondering what the difference in the fork lengths are to see if it is even feasible to put the short forks on the XL or if they are going to be too short. I am 6'2" so I know the short forks on the firebolt would not work for me, but if I can save some money and do a swaparoo I might just jump on the firebolt.
