Glitch those were great pictures. I'm sure you'll have some great ones when you come back from doing the Ridge Run.

The generosity of Bill, the guy that popped the wheelie at the demo's was incredible at the races Sunday. I was really lucky to have run into him right before the 1st race Sunday. It was a pleasure hanging out with him and his father for the afternoon. He even helped Pete out with the Shade tree mechanics. Great guy!!

I agree with Glitch, since I couldn't afford all the races expenses I hit the Mountains with my Powerbook and did some work at TWO. Swung through Ellijay and checked out the shop where my Beemer is being worked on. Turns out the only damage is smashed bearings. The main wrench is a very cute girl who works on vintage bikes..yum! Turns out I know her husband from years back when he managed The Masquerade when our goth/industrial club night was there and I was Djing. Small azz world eh?

Glitch, your first shot. When heading away from TWO isn't that the first hairpin on 180?

Yep!

Where your bike is, is where I had a puckering moment last fall. It was wet and the whole section there, where the walkway is, was covered in leaves. Slick as owl shiznit!

Love that spot for photos. Had one of the Beemer accidentally turn out extremely well (it was foggy, the asphalt was wet, autmun leaves, and on a lark I turned the flash off) two or so years ago, so I pretty much re-shot it with my Triumph.

PS. Very happy my bike is so photogenic.

Finally got the parts for my bike that I ordered two months ago. Had a good ride on Sunday passed Glitch on 60,then as I headed to 129 my bike started acting up.
Torqer: same thing that I told you about, they said it was fixed but now it does it at low rpms as i come back onto the throttle bogs down real bad, but as long as the throttle is open it seems to be fine any ideas? Anyone picturepicture

Thank You. It is the HSA tail and I got it through Trojan Horse. It was cheaper than the other option of just the tail section cut off of the stock piece. The only problem is that it comes kind of unfinished I got a guy at a local body shop to sand and paint it for $50

Thought that was you!
Traffic was getting bad so I rode the back roads home.
Spend half the day there, hope we get weather like that again soon.
Tail looks extra nice!

Before when you had the problem, what was the diagnosis?
Might help to know.

Glitch: I dont think they ever knew they said that it was the computer and that the throttle body was dirty. This has gone on for over three weeks now the dealer has had the bike twice now. First they pretty much said that I was an idiot and was riding in to high of a gear because they would ride it and it wouldnt do it for them. I picked the bike up it still did so I took it back and they had the bike for a week the mechanic rode it home and it started missing with him. I was told that "They knew what direction they were going in" in other words they didnt know, they told me it was the computer or the throttle body but they were positive it was fixed. It almost seems that they changed something that allows more fuel through because it used to do it throughout the rpm range and now it is only when I come back onto the throttle and it is fine as long as I am riding hard and not behind traffic.
It is getting frustrating. After this Stone Mountain Buell has a new customer.

Shred: I THINK WE NEED TO GET TOGETHER I agree.

Everyone: We changed our meeting day to the first Thursday of the month... This past Thursday was the day we were all so excited about the FASTER movie that we forgot about it also being the first Thursday... our meeting day. Travis forgot and a couple of folks showed up to the dealership looking for us. oops! A little scheduling sna-foo. So, with the Sport bike appreciation day drawing nearer, we need to get together and catch each other up on how it's going and what still needs to be done. The date is getting closer and closer. With the excitement building about the ridge run I know I need help staying focused and a meeting would help. If we want to meet this Thursday... that is tomorrow. It may be too soon to spread the word.
What does everyone think? And... Does anyone have a friend who owns a restaurant that serves beer in Gwinnett who would like to participate in our event? I got Budweiser to say they would give us several kegs of beer... we just need someone to serve it. Lonnie of Bubba Burgers serves beer sometimes, I wonder if he would be able to do it? Anyway...

Some feedback please.

One already is.
Wings Landing is one of our sponsors and they serve.
The poster is ready.
I just have to upload it to where everyone can get to it. I'll have a web address for it this afternoon.
Two sizes 3X5 and 8.5X11.
I can make a bigger one also, just need the dimensions.

I can meet tomorrow and it looks like some good weather for the Tex.

Glitch...If the Wing place can't serve I have a patient that is a manager at J.R.'s Log House. Maybe, she could pull a few strings if need be.

Governor..hope your comming out tomorrow I want to see your bike in person.

I guess we need to ask Wings Landing if they would want to put a couple taps
out at our event and have one of their
servers make tips all day???

So the proceeds from the beer- goes ummm.....
to who???? The BRAG club right??
Now we need to buy cups and make sure we have taps for the kegs and buckets to put them on ice.
How many Kegs did you get them to give you???
Are they bringing the Hummer, Bud Girls or anything?? T-shirts???

Lonnie can't sell beer, he doesn't have a license,
what he does is he takes a 'donation' for the beer and that is how he gets around not
having a license to sell it.

I am working with the following to be at our event.

AMA Membership booth
Cycle News subscription booth
Red Cross- donation booth

Glitch: Who is our contact at Wings Landing? We should call and see if they'd be interested in serving Budweiser's beer for tips. They would also need to get a one day event permit to do so.

Shred: What about your pocket bike guys. We should get a list of names and numbers so we can pin them down. I know they've verbally committed to you... but, it may prove beneficial if they get a call from the dealer to thank them for their participation and to inform them of potential prizes. This may set it in stone in their minds. I would like to avoid someone waking-up, stretching and forgetting all about it.

Gov: Bring the bike down for our next meeting and we'll see what can be done.

Is tomorrow the right day?

I'll make some calls today and try to get a feel for everyone's schedules.

I can make it down 2morrow for a meeting.

However, if we needed a little more time to get everyone involved, we could have it on Tuesday and then go down to ESPN Zone bike night and pass out some flyers to that crowd.
