Hi All, Happy to say after doing a bunch of the mods suggested on this site my 06 Uly is running fantastically. My bike has a 10 wheel 77 pin fix, all grounds moved and or cleaned, rerouted wire bundle left front and moved splits, free spirit belt tensioner, hid headlights, moved ecm and glued and sealed it. Replaced spark plug wires, irridium plugs, k & n filter tps reset. These mods seemed to have fixed my various electrical problems such as engine light coming on and cutting engine momentarily, also lights, horn and blinkers no longer are intermittent, the speedo no longer shuts off etc. My bike gets 45-50 mpg and has 25k miles. Now for the ride, myself and a friend also with a 06 uly set out for the Freemansburg PA hill climb. We traveled about 250 miles in the Delaware and Lehigh River Valleys as well as west central NJ. The mountains were lush the canopy over the 1 lane roads were full, crossed covered bridges and lots of rolling hill farm land, truly beautiful country and best of all the Uly ate it all up from the dirt roads to the farm roads to the freeways. As many have said on this forum the Uly is just the most comfortable fun ride you can have. It handles the twisties the straights and even the dirt roads (not extreme dirt of course). Thanks to all who contribute and help on this site it really is the best. I saw thousand bikes and only 1 other Buell an 1125. They don't know what they are missing. I have a 30" inseam and the low seat and no problems with the stance. Jeff |
