Rocket, behind the exhaust, what is the chrome box? Oil tank? Battery box? |

I'm actually building a 2-1-2 setup utilizing the stock header. Just waiting on the "mufflers" to get here. They are stainless, open reverse cone megaphones and will be here Tuesday.

your design element looks like an exhaust option that is available for new Triumph Thruxtons and Bonnies...yeah... I've got a triumph problem too....(and don't ask about the Moto Guzzi problem) Though the Triumphs don't vibrate as badly as a Buell or produce the torque, you might look at their design element to see how its all tied together. Its a D&D system, here is a link on ebay.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/D-D-Exhaust-04-14-Triumph- Thruxton-Full-System-Dual-Black-Megaphones-w-Jet-K it-/351013439397?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories& hash=item51ba0807a5&vxp=mtr good luck!! |

Thanks David! Yeah the splitter will eventually be replaced with a custom built splitter similar to the collector, holding the base of the megaphones side by side, but the pre-made piece was bought to save time only, because my wife is hounding me to put something on it to quiet it down.... She might be a LITTLE upset though when I put these on and they do the opposite . I actually do plan on making some removeable baffles though to make it more bearable on longer trips. |

I got the megaphones in today and went straight to work. I cut up the splitter pictured above so I could mount the megaphones side by side. All I lack is building the mount and baffles. This thing is CRAZY loud without baffles lol.

Found that and it might work any idea what one would call the part that is expanded thatvwould allow the header to slide into it? |

My experience is that the header is just under said size and that standard size pipe will slide over it. That's just my experience with my 2" exit S2 header though. |

Check into a Midas shop or garage that does exhaust work. They usually have a machine that expands pipe for slip fit. MM |
