So I looked at my bike on Sunday night and I can see residue going down the clutch side cover. So my shopping list is as follows: EBR Clutch Actuator Cylinder Set & O-Ring Kit -- 99.95$ (from EBR) Gasket, Clutch Cover Assy, 1125 -- 21.60 (American Sport Bike) Do I need to entertain upgrading to the 2009/2010 with the Clutch Diaphragm Ring Assy from American Sport Bike? Should I do the clutch Plates while I'm doing it? Are there any best practices here at all? |

well.. i fixed my clutch weep w/ the EBR kit you have listed. that was it pretty much it.... i was able to use a video here that helped guide me. wasn't bad at all i was nervous as heck i would mess something up but no weep since. didn't need anything else except - something to use for bleeding the clutch - no new gaskets, etc (Message edited by bubba_ on April 30, 2014) |

The clutch cover gasket is reusable I pulled my clutch plates, 11k they looked fine There is the tool, but I used a socket with visegrips, worked fine |

Be sure you have a GOOD set of circlip pliers. The cheap interchangeably head type will likely just result in you cursing the bike. |

Like everyone else said. All you need is the EBR kit. If you can rig up something to force new brake fluid up from the clutch housing it will save you a lot of time trying to bleed the air out. This is what I used.

Pneumatic Brake Fluid Bleeder makes bleeding as simple as possible. I have also have an old Mityvac hand pump but since I scored the cheep HF unit the Mityvac has sat unused on hydraulics. http://www.harborfreight.com/brake-fluid-bleeder-9 2924.html (Message edited by nikoff90 on May 01, 2014) |

So I just did this fix also and all I used was the EBR kit. HOWEVER, it's worth noting two things: 1 - The hemispherical nut has an o-ring around it and it is not included in the kit. Mine was difficult to put back in place and was lucky enough to have another new one that would fit lying around. Might have been just my bad luck. 2 - The outermost O-rings on the stainless steel sleeve are included in the kit but on my kit they were a little loose. Pressing loose O-rings into place where there are sharp edges results in cut/damaged O-rings. I'm glad I noticed a chunk of the cut O-ring in the groove before I got the thing all back together. I was able to reuse the original O-rings as they were in fine shape. These O-rings don't actually move so I'm doubting they'll actually wear out. So basically just be careful when taking out the original sleeve in case you have to reuse those O-rings. Other than that its been working fine since, though it was only a couple of weeks ago that I did the job. Hope this helps. P.S. I didn't buy the tool either. A regular box wrench fits in there just fine. |

I also used the video link from Bubba, that was great help. Only the striped screw on the clutch reservoir gave me trouble. Thanks to all for the help and direction, did two track days with new clutch setup and so far so good, no leaks |
