EBR did respond to my last email and stated they would honor the core regardless of the 45 comment on the return slip. I mailed the core and received my monies. So they made it right. Your mileage may very. As to some of the comments above - there are many posts stating people should ditch their 2009 manuals as the 2010s are better. I have the 2009 manual. I don't see anyone saying stator/rotor is a good design or original HD fix a good fix. I used to deal with the prince of darkness with my 63 triumph - I was hoping those days were over when I switched to the USA. If someone said I was a bone head were probably right. I believe in American goods. I ditched Levi when they closed the last US factory. I only buy New Balance because they make some shoes in the US. I prefer Mopar but had to bite the bullet and buy a used Honda to get mega MPG when I did a 240 a day commute because no other car could touch 55 mpg at 70+ mph. The 1125 do it ourself because we we did it wrong electric fix just set me off. Maybe I overstated my case in my original post. Now I need to get out in the 20 degree spring weather and screw this thing back together. Thanks for your interest. |

EBR CUSTOMER SERVICE. JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT EBR HAS GIVEN ME GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERYTIME I NEEDED IT.I BOUGHT A ROTOR, GASKET AND NUT FOR MY 1125 AND HAD IT FOR 6 MONTHS, MY BIKE WAS TOTALED BEFORE I NEEDED TO INSTALL IT DUE TO SOMEONE PULLING OUT IN FRONT OF ME. ANY WAY, I EMAILED EBR ( ADAM RA108 )EXPLAINED MY SITUATION, AND THEY LET ME RETURN EVERYTHING AND GAVE ME FULL CREDIT FOR IT TO. THEY DIDNT HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK AT ALL,BUT THEY DID AND GAVE ME ALL MY MONEY BACK, THATS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. DOUBT ANY DEALERS WOULD DO THAT,JUST SAYIN.. |

Most just don't run to the internet and whine before contacting the company and seeking reasonable resolution. |

I am not interested in getting in to any debates but on the matter of problems not resolved. Stator clutch slave cylinder leaks Ignition switch wires breaking on Rs Rear wheel bearings. (In the UK we did not get the three bearing wheel, we got new bearings) All of these are being fixed at my cost, not Buell's. |

When you purchase a vehicle, you are not guaranteed that, for the life of the vehicle, there will be no mechanical issues. The 1125 had a couple of issues, all of which are resolvable by purchasing upgraded parts. Purchase the upgraded parts, enjoy your motorcycle, and don't bitch about having to spend a hundred dollars here and there. Complain to your local car dealership every time your car has a mechanical problem. See how far that gets you. How much would a new alternator, clutch actuator, or wheel bearing cost for an '08 car, of any model? good luck with that. |

I gotta say that I just bought the engine sliders and the brake rotor bolt upgrade, which was about 375 shipped and I didn't get any stickers. WHERE THE ARE MY STICKERS!!!!! WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! Just kidding, I love EBR and my Buells...but seriously, why don't they send stickers. I just got racetech springs and gold valves on my X1 and I got enough stickers to laminate my car. |

While I agree with Phwx2 on some aspects, just not all of them. The charging failures were a known problem and should have been address properly. Granted a fix was finally found, it should not rest solely on the owner of the bike. This problem was not the fault of just a wear from a part, more so the design of said part. Other manufactures are responsible for recalls long after the warranty expires. Just look at GM and there ignition switch recall. I don't hate my bike, i like to tinker so it fits me just fine. I just wish that an American company would willingly stand behind its product, fix the issues properly and retain there customer base. Even when I can afford the new RX or if, I will most likely keep my 1125. My dealings with EBR have been great. The few questions that I have contacted them with have been answered promptly and the tech support was top notch. Harley on the other hand....... (Message edited by Shawns on March 30, 2014) |

There are plenty of spectacular American companies and examples aplenty, thing oiling in the self-destructing Porsche boxer engines that were denied by Porsche, It's the culture of a company, not the country. If you get a chance leaner more about EBR, Buell Motorcycle and some of the incredible "above and beyond" elements in their history. Oh I know Court. I know it's not EBR. They found the fix that Harley did a cheap bandaid on. If corporations payed more attention to the customer base and taking care of them, they would retain customers. I am not saying EBR is one of the problem companies. Harley is. When I purchase an item or vehicle, how a manufacture takes care of problems is the most significant contributing factor. I had problems with my Subaru, the dealership service dept was inadequate to say the least. Subaru was more than willing to help. I have yet to meet or communicate with Mr. Buell, but I have heard he is a down to earth guy and easy to talk to. I hope some day to meet him. |

Well my friend has and has had many Honda 1000RR's He says they all crap the stator at a certain mileage. Honda doesn't cover that design flaw |
