Yes 5mm allen wrench. Just checked on my X1. With the tire turned to the left spray some WD-40 and let it soak, make sure it's the penetrating oil not lubricating oil. It does have the right hand thread (CCW) to come out. There are no threads at the end of the pin just at the head. If still no go use alittle propane heat at the head. Let me know how you make out? Thanks for the suggestions MM. Unfortunately, none of those worked. Had to drill it out and get the threaded head out with an Easy-out. Now calling HD dealer (they usually don't help much after I tell them it is a Buell) to get part 44322-98Y. Anyway, thanks for the help, hopefully back on the road soon. |

Even though mine came out easy I put some anti-seeze on the threads for the next changing of the pads. Also when calling the Harley shop I just give the part #, saves me a lot of headache.....lol. MM |

Yeah, good idea. Tried 3 different HD dealers, found out the third one handles EBR now, they will be getting all my business. |
