I'm curious if anyone here has used the Pitbull Trailer Restraint System on their 1125R with the chain-drive conversion. The pre-2013 chain drive uses a rear axle that has a cap nut on one end of the axle so there is no hole for the TRS pin. Pitbull's website lists the 1190RR as one of the bikes you can purchase the TRS for. I exercised my Google-fu skills and found some photos of the 1190RR and thought "awesome, same axle as my bike". So I contacted Pitbull to confirm that would work. Unfortunately, they told me that the race team they worked with to make the TRS for the 1190RR used a different rear axle. According to Pitbull, that team had to use the XBRR rear axle to make it work. So I then shot an email to EBR to check with them. They replied but need to look into it. I figured while I waited, I should check here, just in case any of you guys have run across this yet. Here's a shot of the rear axle on my bike.

Man, have I got a deal for you. 1. I have a pin set for the Pit Bull Trailer restraint system, BRAND NEW, specifically machined by pit bull for exactly that axle. 2. I have an uber-rare Titanium axle for that very chain drive set up. Weighs roughly half of what the steel one does. Super trick. I'm on the 1190 swing arms now, so both are for sale. |
