can anyone give some advice.Ive an xb12 and its drinking oil 400ml in 440miles.It doesnt leak or smoke we have tryed 20w50 and sae50 ,it uses nothing for about 300miles then gets thirsty. My dealer has no idea and is going to contact harley for guidence as its under warrenty and covered under 5000miles in 6months.If the tell me that is within exceptable levels someone is going to have to get used to hospital food. thanks

Ha Ha obviously check the oil lines for leaks. If not that obvious, it could be something internal and therefore much more serious. I've heard of Yamahas not getting broken in right and theres actually some sludge built up on the cylinder walls. You might need to get it really HOT to melt that crap off. Its worth a shot.
