I am currently doing the wiring for Gloria, which will be a Fuel injected S2. Obviously, wiring is sort of different with the FI harness - I have an 2000 X1 harness I am adapting. I have a lot of the placement fingered out, but I am looking at the BAS and wondering - does it need to be oriented a certain way ? I can figure out the "up and down part, but what about longitudinally? It is a rectangle about 1" x .5" , with a locating pin and a single threaded mounting hole. It looks like stock , the long side of the rectangle would be parallel to the long axis of the bike. There is a good mounting spot that would be perpendicular to that orientation, but I think that would mean a wheelie might be sensed as excessive banking....I think that would be a bad thing.

Anyone know enough about how the little bugger works to advise?

Hi Lynrd. It should sit narrow to the left and right. And I think the wires up. It takes quite a bit of horizontal to enable the signal to ECM. On an M2, short the A and B terminals to disable it. DO NOT short A and C or it will blow the IGN. fuse. I think there is a metal bearing and 3 contacts in it that are the workings. Never had one apart but that is what it sounds like. If you send one to me I will disect it and let you know. Let us know what happens if you short the B and C termnals as I have not tried that yet. GOOD LUCK BUDDY.
