Have CRANE 1.75 to 1 rocker arms in my S3T and BLAST !!! | ||

Buy a set of S&S or newer Crane ones. S&S has made the Crane ones for the past 3 years. They are made from forged steel. The other ones are cast instead of forged and are not as strong. On the other hand, most of us don't use the parts to their limit anyway. Jeff | ||

Just keep in mind the correlation between "use to their limit" and "regular proper meticulous maintenance". I've found through personal experience that a decrease in the first (using to the limits) usually equals an equal or greater decrease in the second (meticulous maintenance). The harder I use it, the better I maintain it. If I "over-build" it for what I know I'm going to do with it...I tend to slack on the maintenance simply because I'm not "using it to its limits". YMMV. | ||

Does everybody that has these roller rockers use adjustable pushrods? Many say its mandatory, yet others seem to use non-adjustable just fine... I like the concept of roller rocers, but would prefer NOT to use adjustable pushrods, if possible. (Message edited by jayvee on March 05, 2014) | ||

The VALVE TRAIN in the SPORTSTER Engine is HEAVY enough already, SO why put in even heaver push rods ??? There are suppliers that will make you solid push rods to any length ... Like putting in XB Valves which make the valve train lighter and also improve flow ... |
