Lowsided during a Trackday. The clutch cable bolt broke off into the primary still screwed in (see Picture), wondering how Im going to get it out, any ideas? Ordered a new clutch cable but cant put it in till I get the old bolt out. Also the shifter assembly-to-primary peace broke and I have not been able to find what it is called where to get one, probably going to look in classifieds.

One last thing, anybody have any good ideas how to pump some more power out of the XB for trackdays, rather Race ECM, Exhaust, or something let me know. Love the way it has preformed so far just looking for alittle more ump!!
Thanks

PROBLEM ONE: "I" would try tapping a flat blade screw driver into the broken piece since the end is off the cable ...

If that does not work for you an easy out would be next ...

Then a reverse flute drill ...

If the straight a ways are short you could
go down a couple of teeth on the motor sprocket, "BUT" you will have to buy a chain to go with the motor sprocket ...

Get a SHIFT LITE and install it so see it as you look down the track it is easy to see it FLASH because you do not have time to focus on the TACH when up shifting ...

You want to set you TACH up so when you have time to focus on it the needle will be pointing straight down the track at the RPM you want to shift at ...

ROAD RACING is an "FINE" ART and bike must be set up as a piece of art to do it well ...

Bottom line is do not fall and learn to ride faster !!!

There are still more answers, but you have not ask the questions yet ???

This is what you need - screw extractor. They come in larger tap and die sets. I use these all the time to remove broke NPT pipe fittings at work.

No harm in trying the screwdriver trick first, or a torx head socket of the right size pounded in there.

Easy Out's are often anything but, like when you snap one off trying to get out an exhaust stud. But in this case, those screw extractors Terry posted above would likely work great. The torque just isn't that high to get that part out. I got a set like them cheap at Harbor Freight, who also generally stock the left hand drill bits also.
