Noticed my throttle was difficult to operate. Hard to turn. And bike had no poop. Pulled top off airbox and removed air cleaner. Twisted throttle and noted butterflies barely moved. Pulled bottom of airbox off. Twisted throttle and it worked fine. Noticed rub mark on underside of rubber gasket that seals throttle bodies to airbox. On front cylinder right side. I cut off the area that had rub mark. This does not cause an air leak. Took bike out today. What a difference. This must have snuck in over time. Don't know why. |

Cool, great job finding and rectifying the problem. |

were the bodies seated in the intake manifolds? I had a rub problem caused by loose clamps the linkage was rubbing under the rubber seal, the front body was not seated properly in the rubber manifold sleve.. |

Yah, they were pushed all the way down. Actually, if the airbox had been a little high it wouldn't have rubbed. Possibly, the rubber sleeve the injector plate is in has pulled up a little. If it weren't all the way down that could cause a problem by raising the linkage. I had huge backfires that blew the injector plate out of the sleeves twice. Seemed like all was good that way. |

I had the same problem with the throttle cable binding on the rubber. I removed the bottom piece of the air box and installed the rubber directly to the air box itself (not the throttle bodies) and the problem was fixed. If it has been removed in the past, sometimes the rubber is placed on the throttle bodies and the air cleaner bottom on top of the rubber which causes interference. If you need a new rubber gasket, the part number is P0084.1AMH at HD and cost around $15.00. |
